Kat is a queer artist and a proud child of a Mexican immigrant. Kat's artistic education began at home and they are entirely self taught.
Curious to work with a medium close to their Heritage, they began experimenting with Pewter Embossing in 2022.
Prior to working with this medium, they have worked with Pyrography, Wood Carving and Linoleum Block Printing.
They have been a part of multiple exhibitions including at The Bakery, South River Art Studios and Echo Contemporary Art. Kat was the 2019 recipient of the Barb Seegert Memorial Lesbian Art Grant.
